I don’t think your dream Black, Bone stock CRX Si exists anymore, I don’t think the CRX you had exists anymore... Do you even remember the VIN?
That said another Z31 won’t be that hard to find, hell another C5 or 3 series.. But I know that little Honda was your favorite car...
But if you ever want another Corvette !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

eh, it was an ‘89 base 900. Nothing special to anyone but me. Now my ‘89 SPG that’s waiting in the wings for some restoration love come spring - different story ;-)

Sigh, I know my ‘85 CRX Si doesn’t exist anymore because it got totaled. I was at a stop and rear ended by a woman in a late 80s Cougar. Fun!
My ‘89, I don’t know where it is. It wasn’t totaled, and it was a fun car. Had a horrible cracking respray on the rear quarter from an accident before I bought it. It was bone stock when I traded it in in ‘98. I wonder what happened to it...

If he’ll settle for a bone stock black non-4WS 3rd gen Prelude Si, I might know where to find one...
(No, i’m not actually planning on selling it)

Is it as rev-happy and lightweight as his CRX supposedly was

more like early camaro ss
or a late corvair convertible
or possibly an mgb, My dad almost bought a twofor package deal but he couldn’t find a garage and grams wasn’t having it.
I wouldn’t wish fixing an mgb on my worst enemy however.

No, it’s (relatively) torquier and a few hundred pounds heavier. It also isn’t currently running.

Probably the throttle position sensor. I have another one, it’s just a pain to get off.

I used to have a neighbor with a bone stock(as far as I could tell) CRX SI with like 175K on it. Two tone black and grey. Pretty sure it was a manual. Normal ride height, normal exhaust, normal tires, everything.
It was pretty worn out but that guy would DD. He must have really liked it.

First gen CRXs are actually easier to find in stock form than 2nd gen. There weren’t many mods available for 1Gs, and they just had D15s, so they weren’t super tunable. I got mine for $1500. Zero mods.
However, it’s not in great shape. It’s rusty underneath and many of the plastics were broken when I got it. Replacing those will be your true challenge.
Still, they pop up every once in a while. Join the Gen One Blog Facebook group and keep an eye out.

It still exists all right, and I can even give you the address where you can find it. Good luck driving it away though ...
